“Roblox Game Development Contest” Produced by Sakuna Yuki - Contest rules

Applicants who wish to participate in the “Roblox Game Development Contest” Produced by Sakuna Yuki (hereinafter referred to as “the Contest”) must carefully read and agree to these Terms and Conditions (hereinafter “the Terms”), established by DEVLOX Inc. (hereinafter “the Organizer”), including any additional application guidelines published on the official website.
This document is originally written in Japanese and translated into English. The Japanese version shall be considered the original, and the English version is provided for reference purposes only. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the two, the Japanese text shall prevail.

Eligibility

  1. The Contest is open to individuals, teams, organizations, and corporations.
  1. There are no restrictions based on nationality or age.
  1. If applying as a team or organization, a representative must be designated, and all team members must agree to these Terms before applying.

Application Period

Applications will be accepted from April 28, 2025 to May 30, 2025 at 11:59 PM (JST).

How to Apply

  1. Submit your entry via the official form. The following items are required:
    1. URL to your Roblox experience
    2. Development team structure (including Roblox IDs and portfolios)
    3. Project proposal (overview, update plans, and future vision)
  1. Optional materials such as videos (e.g., YouTube links) or other supporting documents (e.g., design documents, art concepts) may also be submitted.
  1. All costs associated with participation are the responsibility of the applicant, regardless of the reason.
  1. Any legal issues, including rights infringement, must be resolved at the applicant’s expense and responsibility.

Submission Requirements

  1. To be considered for judging, submitted entries must meet all of the following:
    1. All required materials must be submitted through the designated form.
    2. Content must not violate Roblox’s Terms of Use.
    3. The entry must be an original creation by the applicant.
    4. The entry must not infringe upon any third-party rights, including copyright.
    5. The use of Sakuna Yuki’s voice or sound assets is strictly prohibited.

Prizes

  1. The following awards will be granted to selected entries:
    1. Grand Prize (0 or more winners)
      1. Supervision and production by Sakuna Yuki
      2. Promotional support by Sakuna Yuki
      3. Development support from GeekOut and DEVLOX
      4. Up to ¥500,000 in advertising and development funding on Roblox
    2. Honorable Mention (0 or more winners)
      1. Development support from GeekOut and DEVLOX
      2. Up to ¥300,000 in advertising and development funding on Roblox
  1. Judging results are final and non-negotiable. No objections or appeals will be accepted. Some categories may have no winners.
  1. Prize details may be changed or canceled at the discretion of the Organizer.
  1. Winners are solely responsible for any taxes incurred as a result of receiving prizes, including withholding tax in accordance with applicable tax treaties.
  1. If the Organizer is unable to contact a winner due to incorrect registration details, unavailability, or Terms violation, the award may be revoked. Alternate winners will not be selected in such cases.

Warranties

  1. Applicants must guarantee that:
    1. The submitted game is developed by the applicant themselves (partial outsourcing, such as for asset creation, is permitted).
    2. The applicant holds the rights to the submitted game.
    3. The work is original and not a derivative of another work.
    4. The submission does not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights (including inventions, designs, know-how, trademarks, copyrights, and patentable rights), or other rights such as privacy, publicity, or likeness rights.

Ownership of Rights

Applicants retain ownership of their submitted works. No rights are transferred to the Organizer.
However, submitted works may be introduced or published by the Organizer or associated parties through official websites, social media, or other channels without prior notice.

Additional Notes

  1. Contest details, support contents, and schedules are subject to change or cancellation without prior notice at the discretion of the Organizer.
  1. All costs associated with participation are the responsibility of the applicant.
  1. The Organizer and associated companies (Brave Group Inc., GeekOut Inc., and DEVLOX Inc.) will use applicants’ personal information for the purpose of operating the Contest and:
    1. Managing entries
    2. Responding to inquiries
    3. Contacting applicants regarding potential collaboration in services or game development
